Summary
Larael is one of the three sisters cloned from Dynah by Ryz in the hopes of breeding Esadi that have a close connection to ‘the source’. Larael is very much an assassin, she mastered the art of killing without being detected and will go to great lengths to get the job done. Being trained by Master Mithran she couldn’t have gotten a better foundation for what she was supposed to become.
Larael is one of the main protagonists and is striving to keep her family safe and make sure they have an escape plan in place. She is all about protecting her sisters Aine and Winter and the people they have brought with them, even if it means she sacrifices herself in the process. To that end she is working to acquire resources and finances that will allow them to escape at a moment’s notice should the forces of the god-queen Ryz catch wind of where they are at, and escape becomes imperative. Keeping a low profile and staying under the radar is what she thinks will keep everyone safe, but there is nowhere that is truly safe from the eyes of the god-queen.
Her primary goal is to make it possible for herself and her sisters to live in peace and safety. Growing up, Larael and her sisters, and the younger siblings born of their “Mother” Dinah were in fear for their very lives. One false step, one mistake that might lower their value in the eyes of the God Queen would mean their immediate annihilation. So, the idea of having a place where they can live in peace and without fear of certain death is a very real desire and goal of her and her sisters.
Personality
Calm, quiet, focused. Larael is a young woman with sharp intellect and wit, but she is genuinely a kind and compassionate person. This is in complete contrast to what she has been trained to do, but she struggles with her “purpose”, imposed on her by the God Queen Ryz, and what she truly wants to be and do. In this regard, she is conflicted and tries to be a good person, despite the inclination to drop a person dead with a single blow.
